Our program content is aimed at building competence. With the help of our facilitators, participants will learn about different leadership styles, the importance of seeking and obtaining clarity within roles and exploring the behaviours of great team culture and having coaching plans.

The cost of the Lean Leadership Program is $4,000. A number of part-funded scholarships are available from various Hort Innovation groups as well as private scholarships.

We require full payment prior to the commencement of Lean Leaders. We can split payments by request - but note that admin fees may apply. You can pay via direct bank transfer or credit card.

Scholarships are highly competitive, and the scholarship application takes around 30 minutes to complete. The best applications will detail how the participant will use this scholarship for the benefit of their industry, the benefit to their business as well as how the will contribute to the development of future leaders.

For Hort Innovation Scholarships, a representative of Hort Innovation will review and approve scholarships. For private scholarships, the private business will nominate a representative from their business to review and approve the scholarships provided. For the Social Enterprise Scholarships, Moshie will review and approve these scholarships.

Yes, we actively encourage businesses to put at least 2 people through the program to ensure participants have someone else to bounce their ideas and implement the concepts they learn. We have found historically that the impact from Lean Leaders is magnified when 2 or more people go through the program.

Yes. By helping your customers or suppliers to improve their business you will likely see a flow through into your business, too. This could be by making their business more sustainable meaning they stay in business longer, they may maintain or grow their sales with you, doing better planning meaning you can do better planning, working through improvement suggestions and reducing issues in your supply relationship. A small investment may equate to a customer for life.

Lean Leaders is a commitment, and you should ensure you support the participant to complete the program over 20 weeks. This may include covering their shift, communicating with your broader team and supporting implementation of concepts learnt. You will also need to nominate a Mentor to support the participant before, during and after Lean Leaders. We also invite representatives of your business to attend the week 10 graduation to celebrate the efforts of participants.
